This is the land of the Jaguar, the Howler monkey, the Toucan and the Indigo snake. Far inside the southern hardwood forests, Nick explored deep within the Cayo district and sought to encounter some of Belize's 59 known snake species. The bird life is also unrivaled, as Nick experienced on a solo canoe trip down the Makal River. But as is true in most tropical forests, the real fun begins at nightfall.
