Since childhood Nick has been captivated by the natural world. He currently is a zookeeper at a local zoo and has worked as a wildlife educator since 1999. His approachable and friendly nature serves him well in informational presentations about wildlife. His knowledge and love of animals, as well as his outgoing personality, extend into his own accomplished business venture, The Snake Experience.

Since finishing college Nick has established his own serpentarium and created an outreach program geared towards educating the public about one of his favorite animals, snakes. The Snake Experience is a travelling exhibition of Nick's personal collection of live snakes that he takes into schools, libraries, community centers or wherever he is invited. Nick is committed to making a special effort toward educating underserved ethnic minority groups around the Seattle area. His program focuses on educating all people about the habitat and habits of various snake species, as well as correcting misconceptions and addressing the proper way to deal with these animals when encountered in the wild.

Nick has travelled the world with his passion for nature's creatures. Nick's love of exploring and learning about wildlife took him to Peru to explore the flora and fauna of the Amazon River Basin. He has also travelled to Bangladesh, Myannmar (Burma), Mongolia, China, Jamaica and Central America.

Like most people from the Pacific Northwest, Nick is a true outdoor enthusiast. In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, hiking and searching for wild snakes in Eastern Washington. In addition, he is also an accomplished birdwatcher. Nick is a lover of people as well as animals and is always happy to address a group of people whether in the classroom or in nature. He gets the greatest fulfillment when able to combine all of his passions together: exploring the outdoors, discovering wildlife, and sharing with others the wonderful balance created in nature.
